From 24th April 2023 to 28 April 2023, here is a list of events to look out for each day of the annual Singapore Maritime Week.

 

The Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) is an annual gathering of the international maritime community where thought leaders, key industry players and maritime professionals are seen exchanging ideas to bring the sector forward. Driven by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), in collaboration with industry stakeholders and research and educational institutions, SMW brings together key opinion leaders and industry leaders through conferences, dialogues and forums.

This year, Singapore Maritime Week 2023 is happening from 24 April 2023 to 28 April 2023. Featuring a packed agenda throughout the week, we’ve highlighted some events to look forward to during this much-anticipated event.

5th Annual Capital Link Singapore Maritime Forum

Happening On: 24 April, Mon
Location: The Westin Singapore 

The 5th Annual Capital Link Singapore Maritime Forum is a half-day co-located event that’s happening on the first day of Singapore Maritime Week 2023. Some of the highlights would include various panel discussions throughout the day on:  

  • Navigating Through Industry Transformation 
  • A Reality Check on Decarbonisation in Shipping 
  • Fleet Renewal Options and Strategies

2023 Marine Money Offshore Energy Finance Forum

Happening on: 25 April, Tue
Location: Caroline’s Mansion, St. Regis  

On the second day of Singapore Maritime Week, Marine Money Offshore Energy Finance Forum is a full-day conference of insightful panel discussions and keynote speaking sessions. With a focus theme on offshore and renewable energy, some topics of discussions would include: 

  • The Shifting Energy Landscape 
  • Investment in Offshore Oil & Gas vs. Windfarms
  • Implementing the Energy Transition & The Future of Oil

MarineTech Conference

Happening On: 25 April, Tue & 26 April, Wed
Location: Marina Bay Sands  

The MarineTech Conference will see stakeholders from the maritime innovation ecosystem share their thoughts on key growth areas for investment, emerging technology trends, start-up showcases and demand outlook for maritime technology. Some of the key discussions will include: 

  • MarineTech Keynote –Maritime Digital Transformation, the Now and the Future 
  • Digital & Green Shipping Corridors 
  • Enhancing Capabilities in Technology, Innovation, and Cyber Resilience

Accelerating Decarbonisation Conference

The Accelerating Decarbonisation is a half-day event that gathers industry players, thought leaders, and stakeholders from the maritime industry to share their views on developing international green policies and decarbonisation opportunities for the maritime sector. Some insightful topics to look forward to include:

  • Fuels Options and Strategies to Accelerate Decarbonisation

Maritime Manpower Forum

Happening On: 28 April, Fri
Location: Marina Bay Sands  

With talent management and recruitment being a pivotal discussion during the Singapore Maritime Week 2023, the Maritime Manpower Forum addresses issues on the future of maritime jobs. With a strong focus on essential emerging skills in future jobs in maritime, hear what thought leaders have to share on:
